You're letting us into your inbox. That's a big deal, and we know it.
So here is exactly what Parently Loop does there. In plain words.
What we read
- Your school's emails.
- For your other emails, only who sent them and the subject line. That's how we find your school and spot its emails.
- If a school bill is still open, emails with that amount or your child's school ID. That's how we find the receipt and tick the bill off for you.
- Nothing else from your inbox.
What we can't do
We can't send, delete or change any email. Google and Microsoft only give us permission to read.
Google or Microsoft will tell you Parently Loop "can read your email". That's their standard wording. The list above is what we actually read.
What we never do
- We never sell your data. Not to anyone.
- Your emails are never used for ads. To see which of our ads work, we tell Meta (Facebook) only that the app was installed or opened, and whether a free trial started or a payment was made. Nothing from your emails, your children or your inbox.
- Your emails are never used to train AI. We use OpenAI to write the short summaries you see. OpenAI does not train its models on what we send it.
Checked by an independent security lab
Before Google lets any app read Gmail, the app has to pass Google's security check, called CASA.
Parently Loop was tested by TAC Security, an independent lab, at CASA Tier 2 in July 2026. Google approved Parently Loop on 30 July 2026.
The check is done again every year.
On top of that, the key that lets us into your inbox is locked with strong encryption on our servers. Everything travelling between your phone and us is encrypted too.
You're in control
- Stop any time. Open Settings, tap your email address, then Stop reading my school email. The school emails we stored are deleted too.
- Delete everything. Open Settings, scroll to the bottom, tap Delete my account. It removes your account from the app and from our servers.
