Parently Loop ("App," "we," "us," "our") is designed for parents and guardians to organize and prioritize school-related emails. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
Age Requirement: This App is intended for users 18 years of age or older. By using this App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect data from users under 18.
We collect emails exclusively from school-related sources, including:
school.edu, managebac.com)We do not access personal emails, financial or banking communications, medical or health information, or any emails unrelated to school.
If the App does not work with your email service yet (for example Yahoo or iCloud Mail), you can leave your WhatsApp number on the sign-in screen so we can tell you when it does. We keep that number, the email service you picked, and whether your phone is an iPhone or Android. We use it only to send you that one message. To have it deleted, email support@automateloops.com.
Your school emails are processed by OpenAI (GPT-4o-mini) to generate summaries of key information (dates, deadlines, action items), extract logistics tags (e.g., "PE kit," "permission slip"), and categorize emails by type (homework, payments, announcements).
Email content sent to OpenAI for summarization is not used to train or improve AI models.
We use your data to display organized email summaries on your dashboard, create personalized action items and reminders, show child-specific information, and generate morning and evening briefings. If you turn on WhatsApp briefs, we send your evening brief to your WhatsApp number. The App's notifications on your phone carry the same kind of information.
If your free look ends and you have not subscribed, we keep reading your school's emails so we can show you what has come in. The details stay hidden until you subscribe. We stop reading if you have not opened the App for 30 days, and you can disconnect your mailbox at any time.
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect against fraud or security threats.

Parently Loop's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features of the App, is never used for advertising, is never sold or transferred except as needed to provide those features or as required by law, and is not read by humans except with your consent, for security or legal reasons, or in aggregated and anonymized form.
Email filtering occurs before any data reaches our AI:

Your email content, summaries, your children's details and your email address are never shared for advertising or marketing. They are shared only with OpenAI (for email summarization; not used to train AI models), Apple / Google / Microsoft (for authentication and email access, as required by their platforms), the services that deliver your notifications and WhatsApp briefs (only the text of the messages you choose to receive), and legal authorities if required by law.
To understand which of our ads bring new families, we share a small amount of App activity with Meta (Facebook): that the App was installed or opened, and whether a free trial or first payment started. This is linked to a random ID created for this App, not to your name, your email address or your device's advertising ID. We never ask to track you across other companies' apps and websites, and nothing obtained through Google APIs is ever part of it.
You can delete your account and all your data at any time, directly in the App: open Settings, scroll to the bottom, tap Delete my account and confirm. This cannot be undone. It immediately and permanently erases everything our server holds about you: your account, your connected mailboxes and their access tokens, your school emails and summaries, your WhatsApp number, your reminders, receipts and usage records. For Gmail we delete our copy of the access token and ask Google to cancel our access. For Hotmail / Outlook we delete our only copy of the access token, and you can also remove the App at account.live.com/consent/Manage. Encrypted backups of our database are deleted within about 30 days.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google. Deleting your account does not cancel them, so please cancel in your App Store or Google Play settings. You can also contact support@automateloops.com for assistance.

This App is designed for parents and guardians (18+). While the App may reference children's information (names, grades), we do not collect data directly from children. All data is provided by the parent/guardian account holder.
We comply with COPPA (we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13) and FERPA (we respect school privacy regulations and only process school-related communications).
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, delete your personal information, and opt-out of data sales (we do not sell data). To exercise these rights, email support@automateloops.com.
If you access this App from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, if required, by in-app notification.
